A few thoughts on It X and this crossover with Warhammer 40k.
I never planned it. Seriously, I didn't. But it's been a heck of a lot of fun doing it.

I would like to add more battles into the mix, especially since the Tau are all about War.
For now, however, their uses lie only as antagonists to the Order of Hermes and as power players in the War against the Nephandi, soon to come (after the Siege of Sibiu story arc.) I've pitted them against a tyranid flavoured alien threat on Darkside Moonbase and the result was fun to write, although it will be tedious to read (it comes a bit short of the staggering 11 page count).
Obviously the Tyranids (a mixture of Zerg and Alien)

are quite Nephandic in nature, being the byproducts of some distant Umbral Prelate. Also, they fit quite well into the whole fleshcrafting-as-evolution way of thinking wouldn't you say? You'll definitely see Serra play with these critters, especially since Castor (the Dreamspeaker barrabus from The Circle thread) is a Qliphotic Nephandus.
So really, yeah, I haven't thought them out, but they link so wonderfully with everything.

That's the great thing about having a lot of angles in a story, although it can be a pain to keep track of all the connections in the web.

The thing took me two years to write, seeing as how it took a life of its own and decided that "you cannot bottle up Hermes into a single piece of writing".
My first two manuscripts got trashed along with a hard drive and an entire computer.
I decided to write it down on paper, in a diary of sorts. It disappeared two weeks and 40 pages into its writing and I am still to find it.
Therefore I decided to "give Hermes his wings" and post it on the net where it can't disappear.
Hopefully...
